“I reached out to a national committee about your remediation…”

Authors: Kelly Williamson, MD (Advocate Christ Medical Center) and Joshua Gentges, DO (Oklahoma University School of Community Medicine)

Resident remediation can be a frustrating and difficult experience for faculty and residents alike. Luckily for CORD members there is a group of experienced and talented physicians on the Remediation Task Force that are available to help you with the process. The RTF exists to define best practices for resident remediation and to support the CORD membership with remediation information and advice. A collection of remediation information, including best practices, sample remediation contracts, and published literature on resident remediation can be found at http://cordrtf.wikidot.com . You can also reach out to RTFConsult@cordem.org for a personalized remediation consultation for your specific situation.
